The Architect's Role in Agile Development

Agile software development has been characterized, to some extent, by its emphasis on short development iterations and constant feedback. In combination, these two practices promote the ability to respond to high-change environments, first by chunking development into customer-oriented features and second by constantly reviewing those results from both a technical and a customer's perspective.
