Agile Estimating

From time to time, people ask me how to estimate agile projects, as if estimating might be very different in an agile project. In effect, what many people are asking is how to estimate the unestimatable. They, often management, want an estimate on an overly constrained project -- it must be done in three months -- for which the requirements are quite fuzzy. They want a precise prediction based on imprecise requirements.
