Any methodology, practice, technology, tool, or initiative seeks to introduce change into an organization. The proponents of this change, whatever the type, usually extol the benefits of such a change -- reducing costs, increasing revenue, improving productivity, and more. If all the proposed benefits of all the change initiatives were actually achieved, every company in existence would be insanely profitable.
