When it comes to identifying issues in IT management, Agile Project Management Director Jim Highsmith hooked a big one last week (see " Dead Fish and the Pressure Dynamic," 4 November 2004). He wrote about projects that don't pass the sniff test and how no amount of management pressure will change the smell (or motivate the developers). Jim reeled this live one close to the boat for us. I'd like to strap into the fighting chair and coax it into the net.
