Everything Old Is New Again

With the recent tragedy of the space shuttle Columbia, I was startled to see that it had been almost exactly 17 years since the crash of the Challenger space shuttle in 1986. Although not as immediate as the Columbia, and perhaps not as momentous as September 11, 28 January 1986 was one of those days that remains etched in memory, just as 1 February 2003 is now etched as well: I will always know exactly where I was, whom I was with, and what I was doing when the news arrived.
