"At the moment, it's nothing more than trench warfare" were the words of one IT strategist at a recent meeting of IT representatives at etailforum.org in London. Business and IT strategists are having to focus, albeit reluctantly, on short-term tactics geared to survival; they know that the presentation of any grandiose new vision could easily shoot their career prospects down in flames. So how can an organization's sights be raised to entertain a new view of testing in a higher-level context?
