Holiday Risks -- A Look at the Implications of Common Annual Events

In our organizations, we have what I like to call "holiday risks." These are the risks that we can anticipate like clockwork ... and yet, we marvel at their occurrence. They become components of the organizational culture, and still, year after year, we clean up the respective mess. What can we or should we do about these types of risks? First, we should identify them. Second, we should ensure that the strategies we apply to them are consistent. And third, we should communicate our game plans to others.
