One of the factors in outsourcing success is clarity in the customer's objectives and equal clarity in the vendor's statement of services to be provided. In outsourcing relationships, such clarity usually starts from the top and works downward. Businesses generally find it more difficult to provide such definition as they move down each successive layer, yet such clarity is critical in the procurement process.
