What You Need to Know About Software Licensing

This Executive Report does not focus on how to negotiate software deals. Rather, it examines software licensing models as well as other terms and conditions that commonly affect the viability of a software licensing agreement from the customer's perspective. In this report, we will highlight the terms of a supplier's standard agreement that the buyer must address -- as well as the terms that may be absent -- during the negotiation process in order to align the license with the business and technology goals of the buyer's project and of the enterprise.
