Myths of Outsourcing

Organizations use outsourcing as a tool to manage many factors ranging from cost containment to capacity management. It's clear that the use of sourcing as both a tactical and strategic tool is not a short-term phenomenon. Nor is it a single method or process. Outsourcing now encompasses a wide range of scenarios, from COTS products, farmsourcing, 1 and ASPs to what is considered classic outsourcing.
