During this post-dot-com era, with an almost volatile and ever-changing economic climate, the practice of sourcing -- outsourcing, in particular -- has become one of the most discussed phenomena in the IT industry. Ask any person even remotely connected to IT today, and I can assure you that he or she will have an opinion about his or her company sending IT jobs offshore -- that is, to India, China, or other developing and geographically distant countries. Furthermore, it is clear from the plethora of publications and analytical data available to us today that most of these opinions are very different from those held during the year 2000 and prior.
