We're increasingly hearing more about companies using application service providers (ASPs) to host their applications that were previously hosted internally. The traditionally "function-centric" outsourcing market has grown to include a host of providers, many with specialized business process expertise, which are establishing market-based efficiencies and economies of scale that simply cannot be ignored. The challenge for today's IT organization is to selectively infuse these capabilities into its overall ability to deliver to customers.
