Employing Sourcing Through an SOA Model: Applying the Dynamics of Collaboration
One cannot emphasize enough the importance of collaboration in today's successful sourcing engagements. In fact, it is almost impossible to ignore the impact of collaboration in recent enterprise-level industry initiatives. I believe that the level of collaboration not only determines the extent of intimacy between various teams involved in an initiative but also weaves the fabric of organizational culture that makes or breaks a business and IT sourcing relationship. First, though, it is essential to understand the complexity of empowering a team with collaboration to reap the benefits of service-oriented architecture (SOA) or SOA-based sourcing.
