We all know that internal politics can stifle creativity and innovation. But what if you could neutralize the politics by preserving anonymity? Years ago when I was CTO at CIGNA Corporation, we engaged a consultant to set up an anonymous question-and-answer (Q&A) system that would allow technology professionals to post questions, without attribution, to the leadership team about projects, plans, strategies, and the like. Professionals would input their questions that were then displayed on a large screen for everyone to see.
