Business Impact Measures Are Still Needed

"If you can't measure it, you can't manage it" is a widely accepted business adage. One implication of this phrase is that a good and proper measurement system is a necessary requirement for a good and proper result because the former defines and shapes the latter. That is, organizational performance and good management are closely associated with the availability of formal and informal measures that define and describe the mechanics and the results of organizational processes.
