Web 2.0: What's in It for Enterprises?

Web 2.0 is often associated with startups and technology companies, while enterprises still perceive it mostly as irrelevant. At times, the open and decentralized nature of Web 2.0 is even seen as a threat; enterprises are wary of giving more control to end users. However, I believe there are opportunities outside, within, and across the enterprise firewall wherein Web 2.0 can be leveraged. In this Executive Update, I explore some of these possibilities and examine how enterprises can leverage them to engage and empower different stakeholders -- end customers, employees, and partners.
