Outsourcing Insights Redux: Part III -- Managing the Relationship

This is the third and final installment of a three-part Executive Update series on applications outsourcing based on a recent Cutter Consortium survey of 95 organizations. 1 Here in Part III, we examine patterns regarding the client-supplier relationship after reflecting upon the survey question, "Do you plan to continue with your supplier?" Surprisingly, the majority of our respondents sought to switch vendors or bring work back inhouse (i.e., backsource). Clearly, relationship management needs to improve for outsourcing to be more successful.
