Tweaking Business Technology Leadership: What Academia Can Learn from Executive Education

This Executive Update looks at the changes that were made to the Villanova University undergraduate MIS, MBA, and Executive MBA (EMBA) programs in response to lessons learned from the development and delivery of a corporate executive education program in business technology leadership. This is an unusual curriculum development model since executive education programs are usually derived from academic programs, not the other way around. In this instance, however, several academic courses were designed and modified directly in response to a corporate executive education program developed by Rohm and Haas, a global specialty chemicals company.
