Gabriele Piccoli

Gabriele Piccoli is a Fellow with Cutter Consortium, a member of Arthur D. Little's AMP open consulting network, and the Editor Emeritus of Cutter Benchmark Review. Dr. Piccoli is the Edward G. Schlieder Endowed Chair of Information Sciences at Louisiana State University's E.J. Ourso College of Business, and Director of the Digital Data Streams Lab. His consulting, research, and teaching expertise is in strategic information systems and the use of advanced IT to support customer service. Dr. Piccoli currently focuses on digital data flows/digital data streams and the opportunities they present to create business value.

Previously, Dr. Piccoli was Associate Professor at the Universitá di Pavia (Italy), Associate Professor of Information Systems at the School of Economics and Business Administration at the Universitá di Sassari (Italy), Professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management (France), Associate Professor of Information Systems at the School of Hotel Administration and Hospitality Management at Cornell University, and Adjunct Professor of Information Systems at the AB Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.

Dr. Piccoli is the author of the book Information Systems for Managers: Text and Cases. His research has appeared in both academic and applied outlets such as MIS QuarterlyDecision Sciences JournalMIS Quarterly ExecutiveCommunications of the ACMHarvard Business ReviewThe DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems, and Cornell Quarterly. Dr. Piccoli received his MBA as well as his PhD in business administration with emphasis in management information systems from the E.J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University.
