Enterprise Agility: Finding Ways to Respond Efficiently

Enterprise agility can be defined as "a time measure between two significant changes in the environment and the time it takes for an organization to respond to that change."1 An agile enterprise is capable of responding quickly and effectively to a change in the environment. These changes, as shown in Figure 1, can be imposed on the enterprise externally (e.g., demands of customers and partnering organizations), as well as internally (e.g., through changes to HR structures and processes).
