Ronald Blitstein

Ron Blitstein's 30-year career includes extensive international operations experience and spans all aspects of information management. This includes technology strategic planning, program management, mergers and acquisitions, IT turnarounds, business process reengineering, software solutions development, ERP deployment, security/risk management, outsourcing negotiation, and network/operations management. Ron served as Director of Cutter's Business Technology & Digital Transformation Strategies practice and was a member of the Cutter Business Technology Council.

As a senior technology executive, Ron has been a hands-on change agent working in companies across several industries including office products, chemicals, medical systems and pharmaceuticals, and consumer products.

He has held senior leadership positions at Xerox Corporation, Ohmeda, BOC Group, Pitney Bowes, and Revlon, in addition to providing consulting services at several Fortune 500 companies as Managing Director of IMprove Technology Advisors. Ron's operating roles included direct leadership of global organizations based in United States, United Kingdom and Germany, South Africa, Australia, Japan, China, Singapore, and India.

A hallmark of his accomplishments has been the creation of rich business partnerships as well as the tight alignment of IT strategies and tactics with overall corporate goals and ambitions.

Major corporations have relied on Ron to reorganize and realign technology organizations, forge close bonds with internal business partners, and deliver superior business results for shareholders. He has focused IT investments through rigorous portfolio management to enhance alignment with strategic imperatives, developed custom software to help create new competitive advantage, led due diligence and acquisition integration activities for transactions totaling $1.7 billion in revenues, and led teams that delivered multi-industry ERP solutions in the Unites States, United Kingdom, China, Malaysia, Spain, India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Australia.

These programs and related initiatives produced business benefits across the supply chain and enabled corporate leverage of global buying power, simplified warehousing and distribution delivery, streamlined reverse logistics, optimized product delivery routes, improved supply-demand processes from sales to manufacturing, enabled Just-in-Time production, and improved asset recycling yields. Similar results were also delivered in product development, field service delivery, sales, and order management.

In the health care arena, Ron has worked with software teams and vendors to ensure that business solutions met stringent FDA validation requirements and developed processes to ensure HIPAA compliance from an information security perspective. He can be reached at consulting@cutter.com.
