David R. Caruso, Ph.D. is a Senior Consultant with Cutter Consortium's Business-IT Strategies and Agile Software Development & Project Management Practices. He is a management psychologist who remains at the forefront of his field by conducting original research and developing new psychological tests, including the Multifactor Emotional Intelligence Scale, and the Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT). He is the co-author of The Emotionally Intelligent Manager along with his colleague Dr. Peter Salovey. His management consulting practice offers assessment and leadership development services to corporate and individual clients. His consulting work is complemented by his research and development activities as a Research Affiliate in the Department of Psychology at Yale University.
