Don Estes
|
Don Estes is a specialist in IT management and technical issues, with particular focus on balancing the business and technical risks associated with major IT initiatives and daily operations. Currently, he is applying this experience to products and services for automated modernization and testing of legacy applications being interfaced to the Internet via XML data exchanges.
For the past 12 of his 28 years in the IT industry, Mr. Estes has specialized in the design and execution of projects for the mass modification and automated testing of large bodies of source code using language-processing technologies. He formerly served as Year 2000 Advisor to the State of Rhode Island. His writings have included significant contributions to the technical literature, particularly in the areas of legacy application modernization and reuse, XML usage, legacy to Web services, enterprise application integration, managing technical risks of projects, automation of testing to reduce project cost and risk, business continuity planning, and independent validation and verification of testing adequacy. Mr. Estes holds a degree in physics from MIT and a master's degree in educational and counseling psychology from the University of Texas.
