Johanna Rothman is a Senior Consultant with Cutter Consortium's Agile Product & Project Management practice and a contributor to its advisory service. Ms. Rothman helps leaders and managers solve problems and seize opportunities. She works with clients to find leverage points that will increase the organization's effectiveness. Ms. Rothman has been President of Rothman Consulting Group, Inc., since 1994. She focuses on project, risk, and people management. A frequent speaker and author on managing high-technology product development, Ms. Rothman has written articles for Cutter IT Journal, Software Development, Better Software, IEEE Software, Crosstalk, and IEEE Computer. She also publishes the Pragmatic Manager, a monthly e-mail newsletter about managing product development. She is the author of Manage It! Your Guide to Modern, Pragmatic Project Management, the coauthor (with Esther Derby) of Behind Closed Doors: Secrets of Great Management, and the author of Hiring the Best Knowledge Workers, Techies & Nerds: The Secrets & Science of Hiring Technical People.
