Shannon O'Donnell

Shannon O'Donnell is a Consultant with Cutter's Business Technology Strategies practice. Ms. O'Donnell is a PhD Fellow at Copenhagen Business School's (CBS) Department of Management, Politics, and Philosophy, where she studies innovation management, creative economy firms, and collaborative work in diverse settings ranging from arts ensembles to virtual and global product development teams. She is also a member of the Centre for Art and Leadership at CBS.
Ms. O'Donnell continues her activities with Cutter Fellow Rob Austin's Innovation team, for which she was previously Project Manager. She has also worked as Research Associate for the Harvard Business School (HBS), Research Associate at the University of Washington's Foster School of Business (working with Cutter Fellow Dick Nolan), and Visiting Researcher at CBS. In addition, Ms. O'Donnell was Resident Director and Dramaturg at People's Light & Theatre, where Austin and Cutter Senior Consultant Lee Devin conducted research for their book Artful Making. She has nine years' experience as a theater professional in the roles of director, dramaturg, and producer. Ms. O'Donnell has coauthored (with Austin and Nolan) The Adventures of an IT Leader as well as several HBS cases. She can be reached at consulting@cutter.com.
