Maria Pardee is Chief Information Officer (CIO) for BT Retail, a position she has held since September 2005. As a member of the Retail leadership team, her role is to drive and develop the business. The Retail CIO team are responsible for identifying and shaping opportunities to gain strategic or operational advantages through the use of IT solutions. Working with business leaders across the Retail line of business, Maria’s Retail CIO team acts as a key enabler to, and driver of, business transformation and the translation of the high-level vision into new services or ways of working. This is delivered through the Retail programs designed around the three basic e2e customer experiences — concept to market (C2M), lead to cash (L2C) and trouble to resolve (T2R).
Maria is also on the One IT leadership team and is accountable for several of its IT development programs. She ensures they are aligned with business objectives and they deliver on their 90-day promises made to the business, as measured by Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs). PIRs are run with her business peers to ensure promises are kept, lessons learned and improvements made for the next 90-day cycle.
Maria has more than 20 years’ telecommunications and IT experience. Previously, she worked for BearingPoint, Inc., as Managing Director of the Communications and Content Division, and where she quickly and significantly increased revenues, pipeline and engagement opportunities. Prior to joining BearingPoint, Maria was a vice-president at American Management Systems Inc, where she managed more than 20 software development and management consulting initiatives.
