JP Rangaswami Summit Speaker

JP Rangaswami is CIO of BT Global Services. He is a highly recognized leader in implementing business transformation through innovative technology practices. Mr. Rangaswami has championed community-based open source development methods and practices along with innovative tools and techniques for enterprise collaboration. In 2005, he was named Innovate magazine's European Innovator of the Year; in 2004, The European Technology Forum named him CIO Innovator of the Year; and in 2003, Waters Magazine named him CIO of the Year. Prior to joining BT, Mr. Rangaswami headed the Alternative Market Models at Dresdner Kleinwort, an investment banking firm, after serving five years as its global CIO. He led the bank's transition to the Euro and managed its Y2K and Minimum Requirements programs. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and the Royal Society for the Encouragements of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. Mr. Rangaswami is a Charter Member of TiE and an Advisory Board Member of CAL-IT. He holds a degree in economics and statistics from St. Xavier's College, University of Calcutta.
