Catherine Szpindor Contributor

Catherine Szpindor is an experienced IT executive, having managed software development, network and operations, strategy, architecture, and governance in Fortune 500 and Fortune 40 companies. She has been VP of IT at Thomas Nelson Community College, where she successfully directed extensive network and operations improvements and managed the implementation of the college's data center and IT infrastructure at its new campus. She is also the former VP of IT Strategy and Enterprise Applications at Sprint Nextel. She spent seven years in executive management at Sprint Nextel and Nextel Communications. In 2005, the Northern Virginia Chapter of Women in Technology awarded Ms. Szpindor the title of Corporate Leader of the Year. In 2004, she was recognized as a candidate for Entrepreneur of the Year and was selected by Oracle as Business Intelligence Development Manager of the Year. Recently, No One Path: Perspectives on Leadership from a Decade of Women in Technology Award Winners featured her accomplishments. She holds a master's degree in technology management from Mercer University and a bachelor's degree in HR management from Brenau University.
