Karen Coburn, CEO and President of Cutter Consortium, explained, "Part of Cutter's mission is to further thinking in the business-IT fields it serves. This demands a global approach so our clients can tap into the wisdom of thought leaders from around the world. As a result, we've always attracted an international clientele. At present, about 40% of our clients are located outside North America. "I'm sure that figure will increase over the coming year, especially with our expanded offerings in Europe."

Jonathan Durrant heads up Cutter's Western European Office. According to Mr. Durrant, "Cutter's European clients remark on the commitment Cutter's experts bring to the challenge of delivering actual solutions to the problems these organizations face, through their unique approach to the advisory marketplace. Cutter's experts are keen on knowledge transfer, which is one reason they are so appreciated."

Since 1986, Cutter Consortium, with headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts USA, has been a collaborative community of thought leaders and has served a global market. Today Cutter comprises more than 150 internationally recognized experts who come together to offer research, consulting, and training to its clients. Says Coburn, "We continue to offer a different value proposition than other IT research firms: We give clients Access to the Experts. These experts are committed to delivering top-level, critical, and objective advice. They have done, and are doing, groundbreaking work in organizations worldwide, helping companies deal with issues in the core areas of business technology trends and strategies, innovation, enterprise architecture, agile project management and software development, enterprise risk management and governance, metrics, business intelligence, and sourcing."

The focus of Cutter's research is strategies and processes, rather than vendors and products, with a strong emphasis on the business-IT connection. Unlike other analyst firms, Cutter has zero ties to vendors. Cutter takes pride in serving as an effective catalyst for collaboration and debate between experts in different countries, from a variety of fields, hailing from industry and academia.

From subscription-based content to consulting engagements, special events, and Cutter's acclaimed Summit conferences, Cutter Senior Consultants are continuously crossing borders and oceans to help IT professionals at Global 1000 enterprises, governmental organizations, and other companies develop the strategies that make IT a differentiator for their business.
