Cutter Consortium Launches Blog Featuring IT Luminaries
IT research and advisory service provider Cutter Consortium has launched the multi-author Cutter Blog. The Cutter Blog (http://blog.cutter.com) features Cutter's team of expert Senior Consultants blogging on business technology topics ranging from technical ones like service-oriented architecture to strategic topics such as innovation, policy topics including privacy issues, and social and cultural issues that impact or are impacted by IT.
Like all the products and services Cutter provides, the Cutter Blog offers insight, advice and opinion that is based on experience. Unlike traditional IT analysts, Cutter's experts spend much of their time working directly with business and IT organizations, helping them determine the strategies and implement the technologies that will push their organizations forward and avoid the traps that poor decisions can set. These thought leaders from around the world contribute their ideas to the blog, unbiased by industry vendors.
Says Cutter's CEO, Karen Fine Coburn, "The Cutter Blog is a natural extension of Cutter's philosophy. We believe in the effectiveness of informed discussion and debate as a way for enterprises to arrive at the best solutions to the challenges they face. We demonstrate the value of this process through many of our products including Cutter IT Journal and Cutter Benchmark Review , the Council Opinions prepared each month by the Cutter Business Technology Council Fellows, and of course, at our Summit conferences. The Cutter Blog will enlarge the conversation. Everyone in the business technology community now has the opportunity to engage in the debate, add his or her own opinion -- and ask for the opinion of their peers as well as that of Cutter's experts."
Coburn concludes, "Cutter has created a flourishing collaborative community where its expert consultants and academics question one another to push the thinking in a multitude of niche areas within business technology. I encourage business technologists in corporate, institutional, and government environments to add their voice to these conversations and challenge Cutter's expert bloggers. It's this kind of interaction around really hard questions that yields truly useful ideas and solutions."
