In response to the rise in respondents who see NDAs as a very important mechanism for IP protection, Ana Paula Valente Pereira opined that "It seems that it's becoming clear to all that property rights that are too strong or too tight might inhibit the flow of ideas and knowledge that is necessary for open innovation to function well."
