Industrial XP (IXP) is a brand of Extreme Programming (XP) specialized for use by large organizations. Beginning in 2001, IXP evolved in response to challenges often associated with implementing XP in companies with 500 or more employees. IXP is imbued with XP's minimalist, customer-centric, test-driven spirit and differs most from the original XP in its greater inclusion of management, its expanded role for customers, and its upgraded technical practices.
