In this Executive Update, the last in a series of three on software project planning, we will begin by examining the role of agile development methods in improving project planning, and in particular we will look at customer involvement. We will then discuss the survey findings on planning trends (we will look forward as well as backward), and we will conclude by trying to determine whether Hannibal of Carthage would have made a good software project manager.
