Risk Analysis for Agile Outsourcing

Offshore outsourcing and agile software development are two parallel trends in the IT industry that promise to lower the costs of software development. This Executive Report analyzes these trends and argues that the risks associated with offshore outsourcing are not adequately considered. I'll show the relative value of the cost savings associated with each approach once risk is factored in, revealing that offshore projects are often much less beneficial to the bottom line than is commonly believed.
