Patricia Patrick
Patricia Patrick has 30 years expertise in the pharmaceutical industry with both well-established and emerging pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, as well as in the medical communications service business. Throughout her career she has been involved with drug discovery research, project reporting systems, business development, strategic marketing, international product management and strategic medical communications/publications planning. She possesses deep therapeutic and product knowledge in the areas of oncology, infectious diseases including antivirals, hepatitis and HIV, and CNS. Ms. Patrick is serving as interim CEO for start-up specializing in drug safety monitoring. Previously, as president, she led the restructuring and general management of Fusion Medical Education, the newest company in the AXIS Group focusing on CME-based programs.
Ms. Patrick was Founding Partner and Managing Director of ApotheCom Associates LLC in Boston, a global medical communications agency providing tailored, strategically-driven medical communications to support the successful commercialization of new products and specific communications strategies for marketed products. There she was responsible for directing all aspects of the business, growing the business to $3 million in net revenue, with profitability since inception, and average profit margins of 18-22%. Prior to this, she was Vice President, Business Development at Oxford Clinical Communications. She has also worked for Adis International, Biogen, Bristol Myers, Burroughs Wellcome, and North Carolina State University.
Ms. Patrick holds a BS in Zoology from the University of South Florida and an MS in Microbiology from North Carolina State University.
