How important is architectural certification to your program?
There is still a great amount of ambiguity around EA certification within the discipline. Cutter Consortium Enterprise Architecture Practice Director Mike Rosen notes, "While some certifications are based on standards and/or an established knowledge base, many certification programs are little more than glorified marketing approaches to selling training. Unfortunately, there is little evidence in the industry overall to support the assertion that certification produces more skilled architects. Given this confusion, it's not a surprise that 43% of respondents indicate that certification is not important to them. The next highest category, 36%, claim it to be somewhat important. Only 15% say that certification is very important."
