Kenneth Rau

Kenneth Rau is an internationally recognized authority on IT strategic planning, governance, control, and performance measurement. Mr. Rau has conducted research, written, spoken, consulted, and practiced in these areas for more than 30 years, helping businesses increase the business value of IT. His current areas of focus are IT performance measurement, governance, financial and risk management, and IT organizational change management.

Recently, Mr. Rau has served as a business partner with a data virtualization startup vendor in the development of its business strategy, market research, and sales support. In this role, he has assisted the vendor with oppor­tunity identification and closure, development of marketing material, and product R&D. Previously, Mr. Rau served as a lead analyst for major hardware and consulting firms in their data architecture and modeling practices. He coauthored, with David Norton, MIS Performance Management: A Guide to Design and Installation and is the author of Human Resource Performance Management in IT: A Guide to Productivity Improvement.
