Manoj Kakkad is an expert in information security solutions, cloud enterprise architecture, cyber security, and risk management. Manoj brings more than 20 years of enterprise architecture, technical operations, and software engineering expertise from his work with leading corporations including: Okta, Exostar, Verisign, Cable and Wireless/Savvis, and MCI.

Manoj has been a pioneer in orchestrating solutions in cloud security and architecture, threat intelligence, IT audit, PKI, Key management systems, Security Incident Event Management (SIEM), cloud stack (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS), compliance, identity access management, and identity governance for enterprise and public-sector customers. Customers have included Fortune 500 commercial enterprises, universities, non-profits, and government agencies.

Manoj was a Services Architect with Okta professional services; he reviewed and managed the technical requirements, business functional requirements for establishing new cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) for enterprise and public-sector customers. Manoj has developed architecture solution, and supported creation of project plans to implement cloud services for Universal Directory, Single-Sign On, Multi-factor authentication, User Lifecycle and API access management.

Prior to Okta, Manoj was Director of Customer Implementation at Exostar LLC. Manoj was member of the senior leadership team, was instrumental in envisioning and architecting key services behind the range of products offered by Exostar to the Aerospace, defense and healthcare life sciences marketplace.  At Exostar, Manoj led the delivery team for cloud-based security solutions including Identity Federation and multifactor authentication, risk management and collaboration solutions leveraging partner ecosystems, on premise tools supporting DFARS, NIST, HIPPA and SOC compliance. At Exostar, Manoj chaired the Change Control Board, designed, developed and implemented the integrated systems architecture for Supply Chain and Collaboration services using cutting-edge encryption technologies under private and hybrid clouds.

Prior to Exostar, Manoj was a Senior Engineer at Verisign. Manoj was a key technologist on a cross-functional committee chartered by executives for M&A Strategic Planning, Governance and Risk Management programs. At Verisign, Manoj designed systems architecture for mobile content, commerce, communications, registry and security services. Manoj was instrumental in infrastructure capacity planning and processes improvement with CMDB using ITIL/ITSM for configuration, and asset management.

Prior to Verisign, Manoj was a Senior Principal Engineer in the office of the CTO at Cable and Wireless/Savvis. Manoj has provided subject matter expertise for security, computing, storage and network infrastructures for vendors/technologies certifications and comparative analysis to expand the products/services portfolio. Manoj led the operations team for data centers consolidation, BCP/DR and web hosting services.

Manoj holds Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai, India; is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
