Robert Peterson

Robert Peterson's expertise is in strategy, organization and digital transformation. Robert is recognized as an industry expert in the areas of shale development and operations excellence strategies; energy R&D and innovation management; oilfield service market entry and growth strategies; aligning digital and corporate strategy to achieve tangible results; and building top performing organizations. Previously, Robert was a consultant with Arthur D. Little, and he has held senior management positions at ExxonMobil and Schlumberger. At ExxonMobil he was responsible for geotechnical services, geoscience R&D, and oversight of ExxonMobil’s global wildcat drilling program. At Schlumberger he was a founding partner of Schlumberger Business Consulting, leading the technology and operations practice. After Schlumberger, Robert joined the Charles River/Marakon strategy consulting practice, and led the growth of its Houston business, and then spent a short interval leading Oliver Wyman’s North American energy practice. Robert holds a BA in physics from Carleton College, a BSEE in electrical engineering from Michigan Tech, and an Executive MBA in general management from Southern Methodist University.
