Nina Birte Schirrmacher

Nina-Birte Schirrmacher is Assistant Professor in the KIN Center for Digital Innovation at VU Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and a member of Arthur D. Little’s AMP open consulting network. Her research focuses on the relationship between organizational practices and emerging technologies, including, but not limited to, blockchain, cashless payment, and robots. Dr. Schirrmacher is also interested in the unintended consequences of technology use, such as digital divides and cybercrime. She has been collaborating with various firms and government agencies to examine the use and impact of digital innovations on individuals, organizations, and society. Previously, Dr. Schirrmacher was a postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Computing, National University of Singapore.
