Dr. Sam Bayer is a senior consultant with Cutter Consortium's Agile Project Management Practice and a contributor that Advisory Service. He has been launching software products into the market since 1986. His first experience was with Axiom Systems, Inc., a public company he co-founded to produce software that catered to his chemist colleagues in large industrial laboratories. Thus was born his empathy for the customer and fascination with how to effectively deliver software applications. In the ensuing years, Dr. Bayer has held various executive positions in consulting and marketing for IBM, Amdahl, Agfa, Sapiens, and Haht Commerce. In 2001, he established MarketAcuity, LLC, a management consulting firm dedicated to guiding the effective deliveryof software products into the commercial market or for internal deployments.

Since 2001, Dr. Bayer has had the pleasure of helping companies like, Memex, Ltd., Datacraft Solutions, GXS and Sciquest transform their product management, software engineering, and professional services organizations into high performance teams. Dr. Bayer sits on several Advisory Boards including the North Carolina Association of IT Professionals (NC-AITP), SixthSense Analytics, Nipendo, Inc., and Disruptormonkey, Inc.
