Software Process for the 21st Century: Introduction

One of the many things software professionals must think about is the kind of software processes and practices they'll use in the decade ahead. For example, though the much-maligned waterfall development approach is nearly 30 years old, it continues to be used in many organizations around the world. Is it now time to retire it to the Methodology Hall of Fame?
