Corey Gottlieb

Corey Gottlieb has quickly and impressively made a mark for himself in Boston’s digital media world. Gottlieb joined DraftKings in fall 2015 as Vice President, New Media and Content, working to make DraftKings the leading sports-tech entertainment brand by creating deeper customer engagement and showing players how DraftKings brings them closer to the sports, teams and athletes they love.

Since starting at DraftKings, Corey has built a standalone, revenue-generating content business from the ground up. He has worked to deliver a portfolio of highly trafficked original video, written and audio series whose effect has been to multiply user engagement while underpinning a multi-million dollar sponsorship business. He has also built a collection of highly trafficked user-facing products, including the recent launch of DK Live, a customized live-game fantasy-tracking mobile app that debuted at TechCrunch Disrupt in fall 2016.

Prior to joining DraftKings, Corey led the team at Boston Globe Media as Executive Director, Digital Strategy & Operations, and at Boston.com as General Manager. In these roles, he led the ongoing effort to rapidly transform a historically print-oriented business model into a digital-first operation.

Prior to joining the Globe, Corey served as Director of Product Development at Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLB.com). While there, he played a pivotal role in the company’s evolution in both the mobile and video spaces, working to conceptualize products for both live and on-demand consumption that became central to MLBAM’s core offering. During this time, Corey also gained recognition within the digital community for his work as a content creator. He held a national byline and received critical acclaim for his work on a host of original content series for MLB.com, and hosted both his own daily on-demand video series and weekly, nationally syndicated Sirius Radio talk show.

Corey has been cited across multiple national publications for his work as a digital innovator, including features from publishers like Bloomberg, Yahoo!, VentureBeat, TechCrunch, Sports Business Journal, and others that touch on the work he has done to evolve DraftKings into a true media company.

Gottlieb graduated Summa Cum Laude from Amherst College in 2007 and received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 2014, where he focused on general management with an emphasis on disruptive business environments.

Corey currently resides in the Boston area.
