
Kent Graziano
Kent Graziano is an award-winning author, speaker, and trainer in the areas of data modeling, data architecture, and data warehousing (DW). He has more than 30 years' experience, including two decades with DW and business intelligence (BI) in multiple industries. Mr. Graziano is also highly skillful in developing and leading successful software and DW implementation teams, including several Agile DW/BI teams.
Mr. Graziano has worked with Oracle RDBMS (since version 5) and various Oracle tools for more than 25 years. He is an internationally recognized expert in Oracle Designer and Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler, an Oracle ACE Director, and a certified Data Vault Master (DVDM) and Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner (CDVP2). Mr. Graziano is the founding chair of the BI/DW SIG of the Oracle Development Tools User Group (ODTUG) as well as one of ODTUG's past Presidents. He is also past President of the Rocky Mountain Oracle User Group (RMOUG), a past member of the International Oracle User Council (IOUC), and the founding first Dean of the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) University.
Mr. Graziano is one of the pioneers of Universal Data Models having coauthored the first edition of The Data Model Resource Book (with Bill Inmon and Len Silverston). He is also coauthor of Oracle Designer: A Template for Developing an Enterprise Standards Document; coauthor of the first book on the Data Vault, The Business of Data Vault Modelin; and technical editor for Super Charge Your Data Warehouse, the main technical book for Data Vault 1.0. His more recent works include two short e-books: A Check List for Doing Data Model Design Reviews and Better Data Modeling: Tips for Enhancing Your Use of Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler.
Mr. Graziano is a sought-after global speaker of 100-plus presentations and the author of as many articles on various RDBMS, data architecture, and IT topics. He has been awarded multiple times: one of the best presenters at Oracle User Group Finland (OUGF14); the ODTUG Volunteer award (2007); the Doug Faughnan Award for his dedicated service and outstanding contributions to RMOUG (2003); and the Chris Wooldridge Award (from IOUG) for outstanding contributions to the Oracle user community (1999).
