Vasilios Katos is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth, UK. He received a Ph.D. in computer security from Aston University, UK, in 2000; an M.B.A. from Keele University, UK, in 1995; and an M.Eng. in electrical and electronic engineering from Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, in 1994. Dr. Katos also worked for Cambridge Technology Partners (Novell, Inc.) in the Netherlands as a security architect. His research interests are in information security and cryptography.
