Dorothy Leidner

Dorothy E. Leidner is the Randall W. and Sandra Ferguson Professor of IS and Director of the IS PhD program at Baylor University (USA). She has broad international experience, having previously served as Associate Professor at INSEAD and as Visiting Professor at ITESM (Mexico) and at the University of Caen (France). Since 2005, Dr. Leidner has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Mannheim (Germany) in the European MBA program. Her research has been published in a variety of journals, including MIS QuarterlyInformation Systems ResearchOrganization Science,Journal of Management Information Systems, and Decision Sciences. Dr. Leidner has received best paper awards from the Hawaii International Conference on System SciencesMIS Quarterly, and the Academy of Management. Her projects on knowledge management, virtual teams, and IT in education have been highly cited. Dr. Leidner has served as Editor-in-Chief of The DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems, Senior Editor for MIS Quarterly, and Associate Editor for MIS QuarterlyDecision Sciences, and Decision Support Systems.
