Rajiv Sabherwal

Rajiv Sabherwal is the University of Missouri Curators Professor, the Emory C. Turner Professor of Information Systems, and the Director of the PhD Program in Business Administration at University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is a Fellow of the Association for Information Systems and Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. Dr. Sabherwal is the former Fulbright-Queen's School of Business Research Chair of knowledge management (KM) at Queen's University, Canada, and conference cochair for ICIS 2010. His research focuses on strategic alignment, IS planning, KM, business intelligence (BI), and social aspects of systems development. Dr. Sabherwal has been published in numerous leading journals, including Management ScienceCalifornia Management ReviewOrganization ScienceInformation Systems Research, and MIS Quarterly. He has also coauthored textbooks on KM and BI. Dr. Sabherwal has served as Senior Editor at MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Research, as Departmental Editor for IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and on the editorial boards for several journals, including Management ScienceJournal of AIS, and Journal of MIS. He previously taught at Florida State University and Florida International University and was a Visiting Professor at National University of Singapore. Dr. Sabherwal earned his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, a postgraduate diploma in management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a bachelor's degree in engineering (electronics) from Regional Engineering College, Bhopal.
