Sue McKinney

Sue McKinney is a proven leader with specific skills in product-to-market alignment, Agile development and the stage-gate process, staff skills enhancement, and project/product result achievement. Ms. McKinney has directed the development of a wide range of enterprise-class, innovative software products and services. She served as VP, Worldwide Product Development and Corporate Officer at Pitney Bowes, where she led all product development as well as the engineering transformation of the company from mailing systems hardware to growth in software and services. This required changes in product development methods, business case and portfolio management, staff skill sets - all while doing much more with less - resulting in dramatic improvements.

Prior to joining Pitney Bowes, Ms. McKinney was VP, Development Transformation at IBM, where she led the transformation within IBM Software Group to adopt Agile and Lean principles into the mainstream of software development for 25,000 developers. There she initiated an Agile outreach program in which IBM trained its clients in how to transform product and software engineering. While in the CTO office, Ms. McKinney created software integration patterns across IBM's broad range of products and reduced the complexity of deploying them.
