Lara Johannsdottir

Lara Johannsdottir is Full Professor of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Iceland. Additionally, she served as Academic Director of the Environment and Natural Resources graduate program and is affiliated with the faculty of business administration. Dr. Johannsdottir‘s research interests include corporate social responsibility, corporate sustainability, strategy implementation, sustainable business models, responsible investments, systemic risk, insurance, climate change, and Arctic affairs, and she has been published in top tier journals. Dr. Johannsdottir is former head of the University of Iceland sustainability committee, former board member of the Institute for Business Research, and former board member of the University of Iceland research fund. She has extensive professional experience in the business community as a specialist and executive within the insurance sector in Iceland and as board member of a national occupational pension fund. Dr. Johannsdottir is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society, the Pi Sigma Alpha US Honor Society, and was a Fulbright Arctic Initiative Scholar.
