Monica Chiarini Tremblay

Monica Chiarini Tremblay is the Interim Chair of the Decision Sciences and Information Systems Department, the Faculty Director of the Masters of Health Informatics and Management Systems program, and an Associate Professor at the Florida International University College of Business. Dr. Tremblay's research has focused on data science and barriers to technology adoption in the healthcare context. She teaches courses in designing health information systems, data warehousing, and data mining. Dr. Tremblay is frequently invited as an expert panelist in the area of data analytics and health informatics for international, industry, and academic conferences. In 2012, she was elected an FIU Top Scholar. Dr. Tremblay is currently the principal investigator or co-investigator on several federal and state grants (valued at approximately US $2 million) in the area of healthcare IT and analytics and is a study session member for the Healthcare Information Technology Research (HITR) section of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (US National Institute of Health).
